Simple is fun!

We are bombarded with information every single day.  I think the best articles are the ones which are easy to read and effortless to understand.

Few days ago, I had a conversation with one of my friends about his business. He is trying to grow his business for few years now. We had a long discussion about simplicity.

Growing up I had this idea that if I want to be respected I should be serious.  Straightforward things became challenging tasks, because that’s what serious people do, I thought. 🙂

I have lost the count, how many projects did not see the day light, because I over thought the process.  Instead of making things simple I was overcomplicating everything. This resulted in the doubt of my capabilities.

Making things simple – is a core skill in business and life. Taking something complicated and translate that into easy, simple language – is key. Successful people are capable of making difficult things look effortless.

If your message is simple to understand there is a chance that people may take action, but if the message is too difficult to perceive it’s very hard to have an impact.

Making things simple is hard work, because we spend a life time complicating everything.
